Staying overnight for any of these?
Our accommodation packages cover wheelchair-accessible hotels, lodges and camps right across Kenya — including Nairobi and the coast — and bundle the transport in with your stay.
Vehicle sourcing
WAV (wheelchair-accessible vehicle) sourcing & matching — buy, sell or import your own vehicle
For families and investors who’d rather own a wheelchair-accessible vehicle than rent one, we source a unit like those in our fleet — locally or imported — and manage the process from shortlist to handover. Families looking to dispose of their own unit instead, we match to an interested buyer, at the same rate.
Service fee — transparent, paid upfront
Flat fee per vehicle, paid upfront, covering:
- Consultation on your budget, seating and access needs
- Sourcing a matching unit, locally or via import — or matching your own unit to a buyer, if you’re selling
- Review of each shortlisted vehicle
- Physical inspection — ramp/lift, seating and mechanical condition
- Negotiation on your behalf
- A final recommendation to decide from
- Guidance on financing options, if you’d rather not pay cash
- For persons with disabilities (PWDs): guidance on import duty exemptions and on shipping an imported vehicle
Beyond our fee, your money goes directly to the vendor, KRA (Kenya Revenue Authority) and NTSA (National Transport and Safety Authority) — never through us. And we don’t stop at a shortlist: we stay with you until you find the right unit, or the right buyer. We know what to look for because we own and operate WAVs ourselves.
Purchase price, import duties, shipping and registration are separate, and paid directly by you.
The Last Respects
Escorting your loved one to their final rest

Questions
Common questions, answered plainly
The questions we’re asked most often, on booking, pricing and coverage.
Do you offer wheelchair-accessible transport in Nairobi and Mombasa?
Yes. Every vehicle in our fleet is a wheelchair-accessible van — ramp, lift or swivel-seat equipped — with an AMREF-trained attendant on board. We’re based in Nairobi with a coastal vehicle in Mombasa, and can arrange trips countrywide on request.
How much does a wheelchair-accessible transfer cost in Nairobi?
A single transfer starts from KES 1,500 and is billed by distance, with half-day and full-day rates also available. Use the cost calculator above for an exact estimate, or see our full pricing.
Can I rent a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) with a driver?
Yes — hospitals, clinics, NGOs, care homes and families can rent a dedicated WAV on a 6–24 month term, or a short-stay daily rate, always with a chauffeur included. See wheelchair-accessible rental for terms.
Do you provide home care for the elderly or people with disabilities?
Yes, through Delivering Smiles — our on-demand home care service. It brings a nurse, caregiver or companion, plus groceries, meals or rides, directly to a client’s home. See Delivering Smiles.
Can I buy, sell or import a wheelchair-accessible vehicle in Kenya?
Yes. Our WAV sourcing service manages the process end to end — locally or via import — for a flat KES 50,000 fee, or matches your own vehicle to a buyer if you’re selling. See WAV sourcing & matching.
Is an ambulance available for stretcher or critical transfers?
Yes — a fully equipped, paramedic-crewed ambulance can be dispatched on request for stretcher transport or a situation that becomes critical, as a step up from our non-emergency fleet. It’s KES 6,000 for the first 25 km, then KES 100 per additional kilometre. Ask dispatch when you book.
Do you help with funeral, hearse or bereavement transport?
Yes, through The Last Respects — hearse services, burial logistics for family and guests, body repatriation, and travel arrangements for those attending from out of town. See The Last Respects.
Are your drivers trained in first aid?
Yes. Every driver-attendant is trained by AMREF Health Africa in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid before joining the roster, with refresher training on a set schedule. See our full credentials.
